Winter Western

Had a blast judging the FFA Speech Contest in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Pictured is Teddly Weekly, one of the winners of the prepared speaking. It was a wonderful event to reflect on Agriculture and how proud I am to promote it and be a part of it.

I was then off to Gillette, WY for the Winter Western Coors Pro Rodeo. Odie my trusted man was along for the rodeo. He had been in this arena before during the college rodeo and is a great breakaway horse as well as flag horse displaying the colors. We were a great team and I loved working for Powder River Rodeo, Hank and Lori Franzen.

Black Hills Stock Show and Rodeo

Black Hills Stock Show and Rodeo was a fun rodeo with a lot of fun activities. Loved the school visits and one little boy in particular caught my eye when he walked in with a Cheyenne Frontier Days belt buckle. His dad had won the Rookie Saddle Bronc years ago. At the rodeo we carried sponsor flags and I enjoyed the horses I rode, Charlie and Gilbert. I couldn't believe the grand entry watching Miss Rodeo America carrying the American Flag with sparks coming off the top! It was my first time in South Dakota and it will not be my last! I loved seeing Mount Rushmore and seeing all of the history along the way. Miss Rodeo Idaho and I ended up rooming together again and had a blast together! Making friendships and memories to last a lifetime!

Welcome to the Alamo

Had a fabulous time in San Antonio at the Clinic with Marjorie Murphy. I learned a lot about how to make myself better in order to do the best job I can representing Wyoming. The girls were a lot of fun and, Lauren Graham, Miss Rodeo Texas, took us down to the historic Alamo as well as the River Walk for supper. I was great to see such a big part of the history of Texas in person. Love the memories and friendships made there.

Honorable Governor Matt Mead

While at the NWSS I was honored to spend a little time with Governor Mead and his beautiful family. I had several compliments about Governor Mead and could not agree more about his character and kindness toward all he meets and toward the state of Wyoming.

National Western Stock Show

What a dream come true to ride in the arena at the National Western Stock Show and Rodeo. I was honored to carry the Wyoming flag in the arena on Wyoming day. I stood in the grand entry with Mr. Paul Andrews and Binion Cervi as well as Miss Rodeo North Dakota who carried the National Western Flag. I rode wonderful horses including Scott, Lazy and Dakota and loved working for the Cervi Championship Rodeo Company and Family. They are such wonderful hardworking people who take pride in their stock, breeding program and their performances. What a super kickoff to the year!

Citizen of the West

The Citizen of the West dinner was OUTSTANDING. We were blessed to have a Wyoming honoree this year, the honorable Lynne Cheney. I admire her as a woman in politics as well as a family woman, wife and mother. She is so exceptional and very deserving of the award. I was joined at the event by Miss Rodeo America and Miss Rodeo Colorado and was so excited to escort our fabulous Wyoming Governor Matt Mead that evening. It may have been a party in Colorado but I sure was Wyoming Proud!

Off To Shop :-)

After a wonderful budget meeting, my first stop was the WESA Denver Market, with Laurie Thoman my National Director. I ended up meeting a lot of great people and had wonderful support everywhere I went. I ran into Parker Enterprises who donates our briefcase each year! I also saw Sandy Brazile, former Miss Rodeo Wyoming and Miss Rodeo America. Sandy is with Twisted X boots and donated a sweet pair of inlay boots to wear this year as I travel. Greg Hensley with Dan Post Boots also offered great support and beautiful boots to wear all through this year. I am so blessed to have such wonderful sponsors and support to make this year happen! It is such a fun road but not one that I would be able to ever travel alone.

Wahoo Wyoming!

My dad and I at my Coronation Ball in Sheridan, WY. He was a fabulous escort and we had a wonderful time, with dinner, auction and band. Megan Darnell sponsored the Teka Brock Band and they truly rocked the night away. There was a great crowd and super support to kick off a wonderful year!

So blessed to be going down the road as Miss Rodeo Wyoming in a Wyoming Edition Ram 1500 Sponsored by Fremont Motors Rock Springs! I will be doing a demo period with three Ram trucks thanks to Dean Parker with Fremont Motors. This truck sure makes travel a lot better and a lot more luxurious! So far going down the road in my Wyoming Edition Ram, I have made my way to Denver, San Antonio, Rapid City, Cheyenne, Gillette and even Kissimmee, Florida! This year is off to the best start and I cannot wait to see what lies along the road ahead!!
